Dubai has authorized the development of 17,080 residential units in accordance with the emirate’s Affordable Housing Policy by allocating 1.46 million square meters of land for affordable housing.
According to a report by the Emirates News Agency (Wam), Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, approved a number of policies and initiatives on Wednesday that are intended to advance affordable housing, improve educational outcomes, and assist independent legal professionals in Dubai.
According to Sheikh Hamdan, “Dubai is a city for everyone.” We are committed to offering a range of housing options and we encourage any suggestions that support a wealthy and cohesive society that celebrates diversity.
Targeting talented professionals in Dubai, the program seeks to increase access to high-quality housing and basic services for people of all income levels, foster economic growth, create jobs, and build more vibrant communities. Six locations in Al Mueisim 1, Al Twar 1, Al Qusais Industrial 5, and Al Leyan 1 will be developed in the first phase. The newly constructed residential apartments will include well-thought-out, superior living areas with easy access to important services and infrastructure, all at reasonable rental prices.
The Dubai Land Department, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Civil Defense, and Dubai Real Estate Corporation will carry out the project under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning.
Sheikh Hamdan reiterated that the objective of empowering individuals, families, and communities is the foundation of Dubai’s standing as a preeminent global metropolis. According to him, it is a vision that makes opportunities accessible, develops talent, upholds national identity and values, advances knowledge, and fosters entrepreneurship.
We continue to work toward the goal of influencing the future and achieving long-term progress via empowerment under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai. We are realizing this vision through cross-sector collaboration, ensuring Dubai remains the top destination for the most ambitious international talent, Sheikh Hamdan stated.
Additionally, he gave his approval to the Independent Legal Consultant Project, which allows Dubai residents to practice independent legal consulting without having to set up a physical office through a flexible licensing scheme.
The legal profession is changing, and we encourage Emiratis to take advantage of the prospects in this exciting subject,” he said. Dubai continues to be a center for entrepreneurship, encouraging creative work arrangements that improve quality of life and encourage work-life balance.
The affordable housing project aligns with the goals of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Affordable Housing Policy that was adopted by the Council.
