Ready-built homes, housing loans, and subsidies for residential land are all part of the housing benefits package.
As instructed by His Highness the President of the UAE Abu Dhabi’s ruler, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has given his approval for the first housing and welfare payment to Abu Dhabi citizens for the year 2024. 1,502 emirate citizens have received these benefits, which have an estimated total value of AED 2.18 billion ($593.62 million).
The housing benefits package is divided into ready-built dwellings, housing loans, and subsidies for residential land. Together, these elements have aided 1,407 citizens and are worth over AED 2.082 billion. Furthermore, AED 98 million in home loan payments have been waived for low-income retirees, senior citizens, and the surviving family members of deceased people. This exemption has directly benefited ninety-five emirate residents.
According to Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority Board of Directors, the delivery of this year’s first housing benefits package shows our respected leadership’s ongoing commitment to addressing our citizens’ requirements and providing for their homes.He went on, “This project seeks to enhance the well-being of our citizens and their families, stability, and strong bonds within the emirate while promoting the holistic development of the emirate.”
In keeping with the leadership’s commitment to safeguarding Emirati families’ welfare, this year’s first housing benefits package is being distributed around Eid Al Fitr. The goal of this project is to give them access to adequate housing that meets their needs, enhances their welfare, and promotes their stability and general well-being. By doing this, it helps the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to continue developing comprehensively.
The total amount of housing benefits given since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority was founded has surpassed AED149 billion ($40.57 billion) with the distribution of this package.
