DubaiDubai to get $109 million endowment university

Sobha Realty and MBRGI form a philanthropic grant agreement

A philanthropic gift agreement was struck by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and Sobha Realty to create an endowment university in Dubai.

In accordance with the deal, Sobha Realty would build a university campus building in Dubai for AED 400 million ($108.9 million). This is one of the biggest charity gifts made in the United Arab Emirates. The project will be turned over to MBRGI once it is finished.

The Crown Prince of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MBRGI, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was present when the deal was signed.

The deal is a part of the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, which was started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, to honor mothers by creating an endowment fund worth AED 1 billion to support the education of millions of people worldwide.

The projected endowment university intends to further expand the range of undergraduate and graduate programs in higher education that are offered in Dubai to both domestic and foreign students.

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign reflects a deep understanding of the true meaning of charity and humanitarian work as catalysts for empowerment and progress. The campaign aims to honor mothers by creating an endowment fund that supports the education of millions of people across underprivileged communities. The program gives those living in poverty access to top-notch education, giving them the tools and hope they need to build brighter futures. The MBRGI secretary general, Muhammad Al Gergawi, stated.

The philanthropic gift agreement that was inked with Sobha Realty is yet another important step in realizing the Mothers’ Endowment campaign’s objectives. According to him, it will make it possible for thousands of students from the UAE and the surrounding area to enroll in and complete their postsecondary education in an excellent learning environment.

The charity gift agreement inked with MBRGI is a part of our efforts to promote collaboration in order to conduct significant projects that assist needy communities across several nations, according to PNC Menon, founder and chairman of Sobha Realty. Because of its ties to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign and its desire to support charitable and humanitarian activities that the UAE has started to aid millions of people worldwide, Sobha Realty finds great significance in this partnership.

The endowment university, which seeks to educate thousands of students, is a testament to the development and evolution of endowment culture in the United Arab Emirates.

The MBRGI organized the moms’ Endowment campaign, which was introduced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on March 4. Contributors can honor their moms by making a donation on their behalf. By supporting education at all levels and vocational paths, it seeks to give underprivileged people access to education and training for the workforce. This will enable them to better their lives, develop their potential, and acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the workforce, all of which will contribute to the development of their communities.

The ad highlights the importance of moms in assisting with their children’s education and aims to bring back the culture of endowments as a way to promote giving and lasting influence. The campaign also strengthens the UAE’s humanitarian role by reiterating important principles like respecting parents, kindness, compassion, and community harmony.
