Dubai, UAE: Taraf and KARL LAGERFELD have launched a gated residential community of villas that represents a ground-breaking partnership by skillfully fusing the distinct visions of each partner.
By means of a careful blending of high-quality materials, water elements, and creative architectural layouts, this remarkable community crafts a setting that genuinely engages the senses. This community development redefines sophisticated living through a singular fusion of luxury and inventiveness.
This is an unprecedented venture that marries Taraf’s commitment to luxury and innovation with the unparalleled design prowess of Karl Lagerfeld, says Low Ping, Group CEO of Yas Holding, Taraf’s parent business. This partnership, which goes beyond building opulent mansions, excites us. It involves creating settings and experiences that are the pinnacle of sophistication and elegance. With these KARL LAGERFELD-designed villas, we are happy to realise our purpose at Taraf, which is to push the envelope of what is possible and provide our clients with not only a place to live but an exquisite work of art.
Architecture deeply fascinated and inspired Karl, says KARL LAGERFELD CEO Pier Paolo Righi. His love of avant-garde architecture is now evident in this amazing house in Dubai, where modernism and heritage meet. In honour of this duality, homeowners and investors are the only ones with access to Karl’s distinct take on luxury living, along with a fresh perspective on his world.
The KARL LAGERFELD X TARAF project is a reflection of the refined elegance of KARL LAGERFELD’s (also known as the Maison) façade of the headquarters at 21 Rue St Guillaume, Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Paris. It is inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s fascination with the 18th century, a time marked by intellectual curiosity and creative passion. Karl personally picked out this amazing home in the heart of his favourite neighbourhood on the picturesque left bank.
There are 51 homes total, with 5–7 bedrooms per unit and sizes ranging from 721 square metres (sqm) to 1790 sqm. Residents can choose between two unique facade design options—Soft Modern and Urban Modern—to further customise their residences. Each facade is united by the grand entrance, which directs visitors to a spiral staircase and is evocative of the Maison’s 18th-century charms. The magnificent feature windows are illuminated by sunshine reflections from the swimming pool.
The sunshine that Dubai receives throughout the year is essential to sustaining the extravagance at the Community Clubhouse. All portions of the marble and parquet-floored rooms, inspired by Paris, are accessible to residents. Karl Lagerfeld Maison’s unique pieces can be found exclusively in the lounges and large leisure areas. Alternatively, spend hours reading in the library, which draws inspiration from Karl’s abiding love of literature. Relaxation is possible on the wellness terrace while taking in views of Dubai’s expansive skyline. Residents have access to a private aqua-blue crystal lagoon, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool. Beautiful green spaces encourage leisurely walks and bring nature right to your door.
The KARL LAGERFELD X TARAF project is the most recent addition to Taraf’s expanding portfolio. It represents a whole way of life rather than merely a place to live.
Ideally located in Meydan, this opulent estate is completely private yet conveniently close to the airport and the city’s commercial district.
The KARL LAGERFELD X TARAF project, which has played a significant role in elevating Dubai to the status of a global metropolis, is a testament to the city’s commitment to achieving its lofty 2030 and beyond goals, which include the UAE Centennial 2071 and Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030.
Taraf specialises in the luxury real estate market and is now working on projects in some of Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Since its inception in 2023, the developer has introduced five properties: the upscale residence Luce on the Palm Jumeirah, the Terrazzo Residences in JVC, and the planned Terra Golf Collection and Cello.
This will be the first residential property project under the Karl Lagerfeld trademark in the Middle East and its fourth worldwide. It is the newest property to join the Maison’s expanding collection of real estate holdings, which also includes KARL LAGERFELD VILLAS in Marbella, a posh project in the heart of Lisbon, and branded homes in Melaka, Malaysia. The Macau hotel The KARL LAGERFELD is also included in the portfolio.
