On November 1, just after 10 p.m., a Qatar Airways flight from Doha landed at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, signaling the start of regular operations on the route. Customers of Qatar Airways will now have easy access to Ras Al Khaimah with just an hour’s flight from Hamad International Airport, the airline’s hub in Doha.
The cooperation will boost foreign tourism to Ras Al Khaimah as part of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority’s (RAKTDA) plan to improve global connectivity to the emirate. The flights will take advantage of Qatar Airways’ extensive global network of over 160 destinations, including one-stop connections from European cities – Ras Al Khaimah’s primary source markets – to provide more choice, flexibility, and opportunities for foreign visitors wishing to explore the nature emirate.
We were thrilled to see the start of operations to the emirate today, having announced the cooperation between Qatar Airways and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport back in March of this year at ITB, Berlin’s leading travel and tourist exhibition. According to Raki Phillips, CEO of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, this agreement is a significant step in advancing Ras Al Khaimah’s ongoing development as a future travel destination. One of the top airlines in the world, Qatar Airways, and this collaboration will be essential to increasing the competitiveness of our tourist industry as a whole and satisfying the increasing demand for travel to the Emirate. As part of our goal to promote sustainable growth,
