The current developments in the Middle East and strategies to guarantee the safety of all civilians were deliberated by Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan.
The two top diplomats discussed over the phone the humanitarian situation impacting civilians and the steps being taken to expedite and increase the safe and sustainable supply of relief and medical aid to them.
The two ministers also discussed the international community’s attempts to contain and defuse the situation. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the significance of stepping up regional and international efforts to guarantee the safety of civilian lives and to put an end to extremism, conflict, and the region’s rising violence.
