By 2026, high-speed flying taxis will be available in Dubai, predicts an expert in air mobility.

When they are used, flying taxis are expected to reduce the 46-minute trip from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah to just 6 minutes.

The remarks were made in a session on “The Future of Air Mobility” that was a component of the third Dubai Congress for Self-Driving Transport’s events.

According to Duncan Walker, CEO of Sky Sports, air travel is one of the most important ways to move people, commodities, and different cargo and is renowned for its safe and efficient procedures.

Walker praised Dubai as a superb example of a worldwide air travel model.

He gave Dubai’s sophisticated infrastructure, world-class airports, and the Dubai Government’s constant support credit for the city’s high status.

“The aerial taxi, scheduled to begin operations in 2026, is an outstanding project on the horizon,” he remarked. This ground-breaking project will cruise at speeds of up to 300 km/h across a maximum distance of 241 kilometers.

Walker cited the construction of ultra-modern vertiports at prime sites throughout the emirate as one of the main drivers for the success of aerial taxis in Dubai.
